PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for producing a vegetable material having optical transparency, enabling optical transparency to be imparted to a desired position of a vegetable material.SOLUTION: The method for producing a vegetable material having optical transparency includes an optical transparency imparting step of compressing a resin-containing vegetable material with a pressure not causing the resin-containing vegetable material to flow, and thereby imparting optical transparency to the resin-containing vegetable.
