PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a giant breaker comprising a metal scattering-proof curing chain capable of effectively preventing scattering of a spallation fragment, and a method for attaching the metal scattering-proof curing chain and the like to the giant breaker.;SOLUTION: A plurality of metal scattering-proof curing chains, which each have one end mounted on a giant breaker head and which each have the other end put into a free state, are provided on at least a part of the periphery of a chisel of a giant breaker, away from the chisel. The metal scattering-proof curing chain for the giant breaker is long enough to bring the other end into contact with at least a ground surface in the state of extending the chisel vertically downward to its fullest extent and bringing its tip into contact with the ground surface.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
