To provide techniques for conveniently culturing tissue resident macrophages derived from various organs and tissues.SOLUTION: Provided is a macrophage proliferation method that proliferates tissue resident macrophages isolated from a mammalian organ or tissue, the method including; obtaining stromal cell fractions containing macrophages and adherent cells other than macrophages, from a cell dispersion treated product of a mammalian organ or tissue; and performing a primary culture with the stromal cell fractions, and subsequently proliferating the macrophages and adherent cells comprised in the stromal cell fractions together, the method using a first cell population comprising the adherent cells and the macrophages or a second cell population obtained by passaging the first cell population, and the method including a passage culture that proliferates macrophages by at least one passage culture of the first cell population or the second cell population.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
