PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high purity vanadium oxyhydroxide and a production method in which a vanadium electrolytic solution can easily be produced.SOLUTION: A method for producing vanadium oxyhydroxide includes a reducing step (S20) of adding a reducing agent reducing pentavalent vanadium to an aqueous solution containing the pentavalent vanadium to produce an aqueous solution containing tetravalent vanadium, and a precipitation step (S30) of adding an alkaline substance to the aqueous solution containing tetravalent vanadium to precipitate vanadium hydroxide.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
