PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately record an image in a recording area, which is formed by an ink reception layer, by simply detecting a position of the recording area with a high degree of accuracy.;SOLUTION: A recording medium 5 has a recording area 4 formed in a part of a surface by an ink reception layer that includes a luminescent agent excited by specific irradiation light so as to emit light.
