PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crank angle detecting device for an engine capable of avoiding erroneous detection of a rotating state of a crankshaft while reducing torsional vibration of a driving system caused by torque fluctuation of the engine.;SOLUTION: A crank angle detecting device for an engine includes a damper mechanism D which can restrain vibration caused by an engine 1, a rotation angle sensor 5 for detecting a rotating state of a crankshaft 3, a correction section 13 for correcting angular velocity ω on the basis of rotation time T of the rotation angle sensor 5, an operation state determination section 12 for determining an operation state which induces resonance due to the damper mechanism D, and a learning section 11 for learning the rotation time T of the rotation angle sensor 5.
