To provide a method for measuring dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPD) activity of a peripheral blood mononuclear cell in non-RI.SOLUTION: A method for measuring DPD activity in a peripheral blood mononuclear cell includes: (1) a process of adding an uracil preparation to peripheral blood mononuclear cell-dissolved solution to prepare a measurement sample 1; (2) a process of allowing the measurement sample 1 to react for fixed time to prepare a measurement sample 2; (3) a process of severally allowing the measurement sample 1 and the measurement sample 2 to react with a compound expressed by the following formula (I): (in the formula, A denotes Caryl group which may be substituted by Calkyl group) under the presence of oxidizer and base to obtain a fluorescent compound; (4) a process of calculating the dissipation of an uracil amount by measuring and comparing the fluorescence intensity of the fluorescent compound derived from the measurement sample 1 and the fluorescence intensity of the fluorescent compound derived from the measurement sample 2; and (5) a process of calculating DPD activity based on the dissipated uracil amount.SELECTED DRAWING: None
