PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining a chrystal form E minodronic acid hydrate (CAS Number: 155648-60-5) represented by formula (I).SOLUTION: In the method which is applicable to the industrial production of various scales, the friction between particles that can convert a crystal form D or a mixture thereof with a crystal form E to the crystal form E, is utilized. The method that causes frictional pressure-welding between particles by various means which are applicable in industrial scale such as sieving, atomization, pulverization by shaking, cyclone-type crushing, conical mill type grounding, and suspension milling or the like, is especially advantageous from the stand point of industrial production, yield, and reproducibility.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
