PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow state monitoring of minimum necessary plant parameters to be continued even when a serious accident occurs.SOLUTION: A state monitoring system 1 for a nuclear power station comprises: an instrument signal switching circuit 15 being installed inside a nuclear power plant and collectively switching instrument signals of plant site instruments 17 at the time of abnormality of the nuclear power plant; alternative monitoring cables 18 laid across from the instrument signal switching circuit 15 to an emergency control room installed outside the nuclear power plant and transmitting the instrument signals switched by the instrument signal switching circuit 15; a signal measurement device 20 being installed to the emergency control room and measuring the instrument signals transmitted by the alternative monitoring cables 18; an alternative power supply cable 19 laid across from the instrument signal switching circuit 15 to the emergency control room; and an alternative power supply device 21 being connected to the alternative power supply cable 19 and feeding power from the emergency control room to the instrument signal switching circuit 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
