PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power semiconductor device switching energy loss evaluation device with which it is possible to accurately evaluate a switching energy loss.SOLUTION: A parallel set of the power semiconductor device 4 and inductance load 6 of an upper arm and the power semiconductor device 5 of a lower arm to a control terminal of which a pulse signal is applied are connected in series between the positive and negative poles of a DC power supply 1, whereby a test circuit is composed. A timing correction unit 12 is provided that performs, on the basis of a current waveform derived by measuring a conducting current when the device 5 is switched with a current probe 11and a current waveform derived by measuring the sum of each voltage of the devices 4 and 5 when the device 5 is switched with a voltage probe 11of the same type, a timing correction to eliminate a time difference between the current waveform and the voltage waveform. A time integration is performed on the product of instantaneous values of the corrected current and voltage to calculate a switching energy loss, and an evaluation of the loss is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
