PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vitamin A deficiency estimating device that can estimate a state of vitamin A deficiency in blood serum without actually measuring the vitamin A concentration.SOLUTION: A vitamin A deficiency estimating device that estimates a state of vitamin A deficiency in blood serum is equipped with determined value memory means that stores the determined values of checkup items different from those of vitamin A concentration actual measurement, actually measured value memory means that stores the determined values of the actual checkup items and estimating means that estimates the presence or absence of a vitamin A deficiency state; the checkup items include specimen checkup items, which are checkup items based on specimen checkup; and the estimating means estimates the presence of a vitamin A deficiency state if, out of the actually measured values stored in the actually measured value memory means, a value lower than the corresponding determined value stored in the determined value memory means in one or more checkup items is found.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
