PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain stable sealability at a mold formation part.SOLUTION: A mold formation method of a weather strip 30 for an automobile comprises: a fitting base 31B which is fitted in a fitting member 5 provided along a body opening edge of a sashless door type vehicle; and a hollow seal part 32B which is integrally provided with the fitting base 31B, and elastically contacts side glass 4 when a door is closed, and is provided with a bridge 35B for bisecting a hollow area is provided inside the hollow seal part, in which a slit 37B which penetrates from an inner surface to an outer surface, and extends in a longitudinal direction is formed at the fitting base 31B, and mold formation of the bridge 35B between two set corrugating media of which a mold formation material is filled to bisect the hollow area is integrally performed with the hollow seal part 32B so that one end 35B1 of which is connected with an inner surface side of a seal wall of the hollow seal part 32B, and the other end 35B2 is inserted into a slit 37B of the fitting base 31B at a position to be inside of the hollow seal part 32B, and after that, the corrugating media are extracted outward from the slit 37B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
