A quality evaluation method for buckwheat according to the present invention measures the fluorescence amount of a fluorescent component of a predetermined wavelength range region from violet laser excitation fluorescence of the unpolished buckwheat based on such findings, and evaluates quality of the unpolished buckwheat by comparing this with a pre-obtained reference value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
