PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both the security measures for data and convenience of a server.SOLUTION: A data protection device 1 intercept data on a communication network N which is uploaded from a terminal 3 to a server 5; converts the intercepted data into a format in which confidentiality is ensured; stores a part of the converted confidentiality-ensured data in a data storage server 9; and stores the remaining part in a server 5. In addition, if downloading of the intercepted data is requested by the terminal 3, the data protection device obtains the confidentiality-ensured data stored in the data storage server 9 and server 5 and restores it to the data of an original format; and returns the data which has been restored to the original format, to the communication network N so as to transmit it to the terminal 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
