PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission device, an optical line concentration network system, an operation control method and a program that can perform inter-ONU communication having high reliability equivalent to (1+1) protection with neither addition of a specific device nor increase of transmission delay.SOLUTION: In an optical line concentration network system 100, at least one of plural nodes 120 to 140 includes a relay OSU 132 for returning data transfer from one ONU 32 to the other ONU 32. OLT 111 of a representative node 110 also includes a DWBA function unit 127 for controlling to set a path for transferring data returned by the OSU 132 to a path between the ONUs 32 via the OSU 132. The DWBA function unit 127 sets one of clockwise and counterclockwise paths among the nodes 120 to 140 as an OSU 26 return path and also sets the other as a path passing through the nodes 120 to 140 having the OSU 132.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
