PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a trouble due to the thermal contraction of an annular partitioning portion partitioning a high-pressure side turbine and a low-pressure side turbine.SOLUTION: A steam turbine installation includes: a high-pressure steam turbine 21 which rotates a rotor shaft 90 by main steam; a middle-pressure steam turbine 22 which rotates the rotor shaft 90 by reheat steam; an annular partitioning portion 23 which forms an inner peripheral surface opposite to an outer peripheral surface of the rotor shaft 90, partitions the high-pressure steam turbine 21 and the middle-pressure steam turbine 22, and forms a part of a reheat steam chamber 20d supplying steam discharged from the high-pressure steam turbine 21 to the middle-pressure steam turbine 22; a temperature sensor 23c which measures the temperature of the annular partitioning portion 23; and a control portion which controls so as to lower a number of rotations of the rotor shaft 90 when the temperature measured by the temperature sensor 23 is lower than predetermined temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
