Polymeric particles with the surface treated which are dispersible in water or an aqueous solution without the aid of any surfactant.The surface treatment of hydrophobic polymer particles is carried out in order to increase the surface energy and to make the surfaces of hydrophilic particles.Thereby eliminating the need of a surfactant for dispersing the polymer particles in water or an aqueous solution.As such, a slurry without surfactant can be formed from particles with the surface treated for manufacturing fibre reinforced thermoplastic composite structures.
