A key for use in a cylinder lock with a rotating navel that has a toothpick. The key contains a length of a substantially flat key blade (120'120 'a longitudinal intersection (122'122') extending over at least one part of the length of the key blade. The cut has an inlet section (129) adjacent to a top section (128)128'),the exterior of which forms part of a side surface (123'123') of the key blade and the interior of which includes a side partof a wall (126'126') which is inclined and facing the lower wall (124'124') of the cut. The cut -off section (129'129') is extendedin the inner part adjacent to that inclined part of the side wall (126'126),in a longitudinal cavity (135'135').
