The present invention relates to photoactivatable nanoparticles for photodynamic applications comprising a photosensitizer, (Caž-C) fatty alcohol and a polymeric surfactant, preferably polyethylene oxide monomethyl ether - poly (ε-caprolactone), wherein the nanoparticle size is in the range of 1 to 1000 nm, and the core the nanoparticle is solid at 4 ° C and liquid at 39 ° C.
