The invention relates to the food industry and can be used as a device for the heat treatment of food. The claimed spit contains a supporting rod (1) and at least one reinforcing frame (2), on which the grid (3) is fixed; the latter is designed to support the product during the rotation of the skewer. The grid is made of separate mesh elements located on both sides of the reinforcing frame. The invention allows to construct a large length spit with high performance and versatility of use for the preparation of various products.
