The present invention relates to a cell suspension of autologous or allogeneic, preferably autologous, mature white blood cells of bone marrow origin, preferably originating from the iliac crest (or iliac crest), enriched in mononuclear cells, which means more than 25% of the white blood cells (WBC) present in a cell suspension, are mononuclear cells that contains A) mononuclear cells (MNC) selected from a list containing or consisting of: i) a lim population otsitov; ii) populations of monocytes; and iii) populations of hematopoietic stem cells expressing CD34; and where the cell suspension further comprises B) granulocytes; for use in treating or improving peripheral arterial disease of the lower extremities.
