The present disclosure is related to the wastewater treatment, as well as the tubular system for wastewater treatment that comprises an aeration module that includes an air diffuser powered by a regenerative blower. The water to be treated is supplied to the aeration module of the tubular system by means of a pump and a reaction module interconnected to the aeration module, containing a biological growth cartridge presenting a roll arrangement in alternating layers of a support medium and nonwoven material. The system of the present invention is mainly based on the aerobic/anoxic biological degradation of the pollutants dissolved in the wastewater; the system is easy to operate, with low instrumentation and control requirements; suitable for residential applications, for urban and rural communities, as well as for industries that require wastewater treatment.
