Production of structured non-woven materials comprises passing an unstructured non-woven web (1) containing fusible fibers past a hot gas jet (5). The web rests on a structured support (4) which moves with it as it passes the jet. An independent claim is included for apparatus for carrying out the method comprising a structured sleeve (4) which is mounted on a rotating drum (3) positioned beneath the hot gas jet.
