The system placed in an outlet of septic tank for filtering wastewater, comprises horizontally or quasi horizontally disposed tubular cartridges (1) filled with removable filter materials and traversed by wastewater along its longitudinal axis, where the wastewater is obtained from the septic tank, layers of filter materials, disengaging layers constituted of pozzolana with high granulometry (20/40 mm), a retention grid of the filter element, and an annulated tube comprising a pozzolana layer. A granulometry of the layers of filter materials decreases according to a flow of wastewater. The system placed in an outlet of septic tank for filtering wastewater, comprises horizontally or quasi horizontally disposed tubular cartridges (1) filled with removable filter materials and traversed by wastewater along its longitudinal axis, where the wastewater is obtained from the septic tank, layers of filter materials, disengaging layers constituted of pozzolana with high granulometry (20/40 mm), a retention grid of the filter element, and an annulated tube comprising a pozzolana layer. A granulometry of the layers of filter materials decreases according to a flow of wastewater. The disengaging layer is placed at an inlet and an outlet of the cartridge. The retention grid of the filter element is placed between the last filter material layer and the adjacent disengaging layer. Each end of the cartridges comprises a removable closure plug drilled in its upper part to obtain inlet plug and in its lower part to obtain outlet plug, and is connected by an inlet and an outlet collector. The first pozzolana layer has a granulometry of 30-40 mm and a thickness (100 mm), the second pozzolana layer has a granulometry of 8/12 mm and a length of 1050 mm, a third zeolite layer has a granulometry of 2/5 mm and a length of 1500 mm, a fourth zeolite layer has a granulometry of 0.5/2.2 mm and a thickness of 250 mm, and another pozzolana layer similar to the first pozzolana layer, where the layers are transversely arranged to the axis of the tube.
