Trim (1), system and method for the production of a trim (1) for a vehicle. The trim (1) comprises a thermoplastic structural part (2) with a non-flat exterior face (3) having a plurality of surfaces (3a, 3b). The method is characterised by the application of a coating on all of the surfaces (3a, 3b). The coating is applied by means of inkjet printing using at least one print head (12). During printing, the structural part (2) moves longitudinally with respect to the fixed print head (12), with a three-dimensional curvilinear movement. The resulting trim (1) has a high gloss finish, and scratch and abrasion resistance in accordance with the current requirements of the automotive sector.
