It is an objective of the present invention to provide a composition, e.g. in form of an immunogenic composition or a vaccine for the protection of fish against infection from Aeromonas hydrophila. The present invention furthermore relates to a combination of immunogenic amounts of two highly virulent Aeromonas hydrophila strains, one belonging to biotype A and one belonging to biotype B, e.g. in an immunogenic composition or in a vaccine, in order to providing efficient prophylactic protection of against infection caused by Aeromonas hydrophila.
