In the mode of operation of the on -board automatic train protection system according to which the information signal is encoded by modulation,where the train detection device detects a signal from the track circuits,the detected signal is then processed and evaluated by the on -board unit of the automatic train protection system to determine the information transmitted,from the signal detected by the on -board automatic train protection system, the lateral bands shall be separated into separate branches (1, 2),then the corresponding lateral band in the relevant branch (1, 2) is independently analysed and decoded to determine the transmitted information in each branch (1, 2),then the data specified in each branch (1, 2) are compared and the result for decision -making is determined in an automatic train protection system.On -board an automatic train protection system containing means for detecting a signal from track circuits encoded by an induction coupling modulation,and, in addition, containing means for processing and analysing the signal and its decoding in order to determine the information transmitted,the means for processing and analysing the detected signal and its decoding include means (10, 20) for separating each of the detected signal's lateral bands into a separate branch (1, 2),where, in each branch (1, 2) after the measures (10, 20) to divide each side band into separate branches (1, 2), the measures (11,21) to determine the information originally transmitted from each side band of the detected signal behind which both branches (1,2) are linked to the measure (3) of comparison to determine the information originally transmitted for the decision taken in the automatic train protection system.
