The notified is a two -dimensional titanium carbide of Ti3C2, surface modified by nanoparticles of oxides of the model MexOy where Me stands for clay, titanium or silicon and nanoparticles of noble metals of M selected from the gold, silver, palladium group. The notification shall also include the method of obtaining the surface -modified 2 -dimensional titanium carbide Ti3C2, which is:that an organic solvent selected from a group of alcohols containing from 1 to 12 carbon atoms or hydrocarbons containing from 5 to 18 carbon atoms or ethers containing from 4 to 16 carbon atoms or hydrocarbons containing from 1 to 18 carbon atoms is added to a two -dimensional titanium carbide of Ti3C2, a aluminium compound or titanium compound or silicon compound and, as a third component, a precious metal compound selected from a group of gold, silver, palladium and water in excess of the stoichiometric concentration of aluminium, titanium; silicon,the reagents are mixed in the air until drying and then heat -treated at temperatures from 50 to 200oC, between five minutes to 24 hours, and any nanocomposites containing silver oxide nanoparticles or palladium are reduced by hydrogen in a quartz reactor; from one minute to two hours, at temperature 100 -400oC.
