A decoder for generating an unmixed audio signal comprising a plurality of unmixed audio channels, in which the decoder comprises: a segregation information determiner (112) for determining segregation information by receiving first parametric secondary information in the at least one audio object signal and second parametric secondary information in the at least one audio object signal, in which the frequency resolution of the second parametric secondary information is greater than the frequency resolution of the first parametric secondary information, and a segregation module (113) for applying the segregation information in a downstream mix signal, indicating a downstream mix of at least one audio object signal, to obtain an unmixed audio signal comprising the plurality of channels of unmixed audio, in which the segregation information determiner (1 12) is configured to determine the segregation information by modifying the first parametric information and the second parametric information to obtain modified parametric information, such that the modified parametric information has a frequency resolution that is greater than the first frequency resolution.
