A venipuncture aid device (100, 200, 300), comprising: a main body (101, 102; 302a, 302b) having a lower surface portion to be positioned in front of a target tissue site for a venipuncture; a vein capture channel (120) configured to receive a vein portion (181) from said target tissue site, for venipuncture therein, by a vacuum aspiration force; a vacuum intake (130, 132, 310) disposed on said main body (101, 102; 302a, 302b) configured to provide a reduced atmospheric pressure within said vein capture channel (120); and a first needle channel (150, 151, 152, 153) configured to receive a venipuncture needle (185, 385) and arranged so that said venipuncture needle (185, 385) can be advanced into said portion of vein (181) with a first angle of incidence, characterized in that i) said vein capture channel (120) is disposed within said lower surface portion and ii) said first needle channel (150, 151, 152, 153 ) extends from a front face (105) of said main body (101, 102; 302a, 302b) to said vein capture channel (120).
