Techniques for benchmarking pairing strategies in a task assignment system aredisclosed.In one particular embodiment, the techniques may be realized as a method forbenchmarkingpairing strategies in a task assignment system comprising determining firstand secondpluralities of historical task assignments paired using first and secondpairing strategies,respectively, during a first period, determining a value attributable to eachtask of the firstplurality of historical task assignments and the second plurality ofhistorical task assignmentsduring a second period after the first period, determining a difference inperformance betweenthe first and second pairing strategies based on the value attributable toeach task during thesecond period, and outputting the difference in performance between the firstpairing strategyand the second pairing strategy for benchmarking at least the first pairingstrategy and thesecond pairing strategy.
