Environmental condition controller and method for controlling anenvironmental condition in an area of a building. The controller stores apredictive model generated by a neural network training engine, and apreviously calculated environmental condition adjustment value (y n-1). Thecontroller receives an environmental condition target value (x ref), and anenvironmental condition measured value (x). The controller recursivelycalculates an environmental condition adjustment value (y n) by executing aneural network inference engine using the predictive model for inferring theenvironmental condition adjustment value (y n) based on the previouslycalculated environmental condition adjustment value (y n_1), the environmentalcondition target value (x ref), the environmental condition measured value(x), andan adaptive proportionality value (k). The controller also generates andtransmitsa command based on the environmental condition adjustment value (y n). Thecontroller further stores the calculated environmental condition adjustmentvalue(y n) as the previously calculated environmental condition adjustment value (yn_1).
