The present invention relates to a method and system for intelligently recommending a travel route, the method comprising the following steps: acquiring a departure point and destination for a trip of a user; according to the departure point and destination, generating at least one optional travel route; acquiring operation conditions of buses along the optional travel route and real-time traffic conditions information of the roads along the optional travel route; according to the operation conditions and the real-time traffic conditions information, analyzing and comparing all of the optional travel routes and obtaining the best travel route. The method and system for intelligently recommending a travel route as provided by the present invention may intelligently recommend travel routes, recommending travel routes more objectively and rationally; the method and system may recommend a more suitable bus route to a user, and after considering the operation conditions of buses, may properly allocate bus resources so as to prevent the same bus from being recommended to everyone, which otherwise would result in an excessive number of people on a bus.
