The invention discloses a method for preparing low-substituted acetylated nanocellulose by one-pot synthesis. The method mainly comprises operations including pretreatment of raw materials, an esterification reaction, a termination reaction, dialysis, freeze drying, etc. The invention starts from relatively simple and easily available raw materials, and can further synthesize acetylated nanocellulose with a degree of substitution of 0.1-0.3 by controlling the ratio of microcrystalline cellulose to an acetylating reagent without intermediate separation, and the raw materials used are all industrial products, cheap and easily available, and simple and reliable. Since acetylated nanocellulose has high strength, large specific surface area, good biocompatibility and degradability, it has great potential applications in fields of polymer reinforcing fillers, pharmaceutical packaging, food additives, and cosmetics.
