A centering clamping positioning mechanism applied to an automobile decoration part detection tool, comprising a base (1), a linear sliding block (5) penetrating through the base, an inclined sliding rail base (8), and two positioning clamps (9). A guide rail (50) is provided on the top surface of one end of the linear sliding block; a guide groove (81) matched with the guide rail is formed in the lower end surface of the inclined slide rail base; two inclined sliding rails (80) are provided on the two sides of the guide groove; the two inclined sliding rails are symmetrically provided relative to the guide groove. After each positioning clamp penetrates through a mounting groove in the side wall of the linear sliding block, an inclined sliding block (91) at one end of the positioning clamp is embedded into a corresponding inclined sliding rail. The positioning clamp is mounted in the mounting groove by means of positioning pins (10). A pair of pliers (90) is provided at one end, far away from the inclined sliding block, of the positioning clamp, and a clamping positioning space is formed between the pair of pliers. The two positioning clamps slide on the symmetrically provided inclined sliding rails to ensure the amplitude of closing and opening. The base is provided on the detection tool and is convenient to be dismounted. The closing and opening of the positioning clamp is realized by rotating and adjusting the pins to adjust the position of the inclined sliding rail base. The operation is convenient.
