Procedure for removing traces of ethylene from air flows that may comprise the steps: - A first step in which the gas mixture is introduced into a reactor comprising at least a bed containing a material that may be selected from amongst a zeolite, amorphous silica, magnesium sulfate, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, potassium sulfate, calcium sulfate, potassium carbonate and combinations thereof; - A second step in which the outflow from the first step is fed into another reactor comprising at least one catalyst comprising at least one zeolite exchanged with at least one metal ion that may be selected preferably from amongst Ag, Pd, Cu, Pt, Au, Ru, Sn, Ce, Cu, Ni, Mn, Mo and combinations thereof; and - Recovery of the gas outflow.
