The present invention falls within the technical field of selenium-containing compounds. Disclosed are selenium-containing compounds - selenocarbohydrate, selenoglucoside - and preparation methods therefor. The method comprises the steps: reacting the corresponding bromocarbohydrate protected by a protecting group with selenourea, and then degrading under alkaline conditions, or directly reacting the corresponding bromocarbohydrate protected by a protecting group with hydroselenate, or reacting the corresponding bromocarbohydrate protected by a protecting group with sodium selenide and potassium selenide, and reacting the resulting raw material with the corresponding hydrocarbylation agent or the corresponding bromocarbohydrate represented by R2 with a protecting group, or directly reacting the corresponding bromocarbohydrate protected by a protecting group with the corresponding selenol, or sodium selenol or potassium selenol, and finally carrying out deprotection to obtain various target compounds. The compounds prepared by the present invention can significantly improve the absorption and transformation of selenium element in the organism so that the selenium element is utilized by the human body.
