Disclosed are selenium-containing compounds - selenocarbohydrate, selenoglucoside - and preparation methods therefor. The method comprises the steps: reacting the corresponding bromocarbohydrate protected by a protecting group with selenourea, and then degrading under alkaline conditions, or directly reacting the corresponding bromocarbohydrate protected by a protecting group with hydroselenate, or reacting the corresponding bromocarbohydrate protected by a protecting group with sodium selenide and potassium selenide, and reacting the resulting raw material with the corresponding hydrocarbylation agent or the corresponding bromocarbohydrate represented by R2 with a protecting group, or directly reacting the corresponding bromocarbohydrate protected by a protecting group with the corresponding selenol, or sodium selenol or potassium selenol, and finally carrying out deprotection to obtain various target compounds.
