The present invention provides an intelligent terminal-based navigation method and a navigation system. The navigation method comprises the following steps: previewing a real-time image; obtaining real-time position data comprised in the real-time image; receiving a target position; generating target position data according to the target position; generating, according to the real-time position data and the target position data, a navigation route from the real-time position to the target position; and outputting the navigation route in the real-time image. The navigation system comprises a previewing module, a positioning module, a receiving module, and an outputting module. By means of the navigation method and system provided in the present invention, when navigation is needed, a user only needs to open a camera function of an intelligent terminal without additionally installing a map application, so that real-scene navigation can be implemented, and the operation is convenient and quick, thereby providing better user experience.
