A computer-implemented iterative method for reconstructing the topology of a network of cables, comprising the steps of: - obtaining (301) a measured time-domain reflectogram, - obtaining (303) a simulated time-domain reflectogram corresponding to a partial network of cables comprising the singular points of said cable network, reconstructed in the preceding iterations and a suitable load at the end of each cable having one end that has not yet been reconstructed, - subtracting (304) the simulated time-domain reflectogram from the measured time-domain reflectogram in order to obtain a corrected time-domain reflectogram, - reconstructing (305) the topology of the network of cables by a correlation of the peaks of the corrected reflectogram with the singular points of the cable network, - the correlation comprising searching in the corrected reflectogram for at least one second peak corresponding to a signal path comprising a main reflection on said ambiguous singular point and a secondary reflection on two junctions reconstructed in the preceding iterations.
