A method includes calculating bodice dart widths by taking into account the horizontal deviation of the underarm apex from the waist and the horizontal deviation of the blade apex from the waist; constructing a back shoulder line and a front shoulder line by taking into account the back shoulder slope and the front shoulder slope; constructing a blade apex point and determining the position of the point of a back waist dart by taking into account the location of the blade apex; constructing a bust dart in the area of an armhole with the point of said dart being located at the center of the bust.
