A shear test apparatus for fault gouge according to the present invention comprises: a cylindrical lower fixing block having a rectangular lower hollow formed in the middle thereof and having a cross-sectional "凹" shape; a cylindrical upper fixing block in the middle of which a rectangular upper hollow corresponding to the lower hollow of the cylindrical lower fixing block is formed, and which has a cross-sectional "凸" shape corresponding to the cross-sectional "凹" shape and is positioned over the lower fixing block; a main head vertically installed by penetrating the upper hollow of the upper fixing block and the lower hollow of the lower fixing block; and a horizontal pressuring block installed on both sides of the empty space of the cross-sectional "凹" shape of the lower fixing block and disposed to have the main head in the middle thereof, wherein a first gap is formed between the main head and the lower fixing block, a second gap is formed between the main head and the upper fixing block, the width of the first gap is greater than that of the second gap, and fault gouge is retained in the first gap and the second gap.
