An automatic sorting system and an automatic sorting robot. The automatic sorting system comprises: a robot (10) and a sorting unit (20). The sorting unit (20) comprises multiple sorting ports (201). The robot is used for identifying cargo to acquire cargo information, wherein the cargo information comprises target sorting location information; acquiring, according to the target sorting location information, a target sorting port corresponding to the cargo; and placing the cargo in the corresponding sorting port. In this way, the system can reduce labor costs and improve the efficiency of sorting.
