An automatic sorting system and an automatic sorting robot. The system comprises a robot (10), a sorting unit (20) and a sorted product storage device (30). The robot (10) is used to acquire a product to be sorted, and to place the product in a corresponding target sorting compartment (201) or target sorting cabinet (301) according to target destination information of the product. The complexity of planning a movement route along which the robot (10) moves a sorted product to a target sorting compartment (201) is lower than the complexity of a movement route along which the robot (10) moves a sorted product to a target sorting cabinet (301).
