Specifically, provided in the present invention is a method for shortcut application of a smart terminal, which comprises the following steps: starting a shortcut application mode of the smart terminal using fingerprint information; displaying a shortcut menu on the desktop of the smart terminal; capturing a first operation instruction; and according to the operation instruction, selecting an application in the shortcut menu to start the application. According to the invention, fingerprint identification technology is combined with the shortcut menu mode, and the fingerprint information is used to directly start the shortcut menu in the smart terminal, so that the user can directly start the corresponding application through the shortcut menu.
