The present invention also provides a method of preparing the carbon/metal oxide composite electrode material having high specific surface area by atomic layer deposition, and a method of preparing electrode using the carbon/metal oxide composite electrode material having high specific surface area. The carbon/metal oxide composite electrode material having high specific surface area of the present invention has a feature of high mass ratio, and the lithium ion battery prepared from the electrode material has high cycle life and high capacity stability.
