The invention relates to a fuel delivery device for cryogenic fuels, comprising a predelivery pump (1) and a high-pressure pump (2), wherein the high-pressure pump (2) has a pump head (3) in which there is formed a compression chamber (4) which is delimited by a piston (5) which is movable in reciprocating fashion. According to the invention, a cold-running valve (6) is integrated into the high-pressure pump (2), preferably into the pump head (3) of the high-pressure pump (2), by means of which cold-running valve the compression chamber (4) and/or a low-pressure chamber (7) of the high-pressure pump (2) are/is connectable to a tank (8) for storing the cryogenic fuel. The invention also relates to a method for operating a fuel delivery device for cryogenic fuels.
