The invention relates to a floating hydroelectric power plant (5), intended to be partially submerged in a watercourse, comprising: a flotation member (10) comprising at least two hulls (12) extending in the direction of the current, parallel and symmetrical to one another in relation to a first vertical plane (A), and coupled by a framework (14); a fully submerged channel (20) having a rectangular internal cross-section, said channel being formed by an upper fairing (24) and a lower fairing (26) and by a pair of lateral fairings (22); a vertical connecting structure (28) that connects the channel to the flotation member; a turbomachine comprising two turbines housed in the channel; and a holding device comprising a mooring line under tension.
