The invention relates to a floating hydroelectric plant (5), intended to be partially immersed in a watercourse, comprising: - a flotation device (10) comprising at least two shells (12) elongate in the direction of the current, parallel and symmetrical to each other with respect to a first vertical plane (A) and coupled by an armature (14); - a fully submerged channel (20) having a rectangular inner section, said channel being formed by an upper fairing (24) and a lower fairing (26) and a pair of side fairings (22); - a vertical connection structure (28) which connects the channel to the flotation member; a turbomachine comprising two turbines housed in the channel; and - a holding device comprising a tensioned mooring line.
