The present invention provides a method for preparing a graphene oxide to be added to a lubricant, comprising the steps of: (a) synthesizing an NH2-GO material by forming an amide bond between a carboxyl group distributed at the edge site of graphene oxide (GO) and an amino group of ethylene diamine; and (b) forming an alkyl-functionalized graphene oxide (FGO) through nucleophilic substitution reaction in which -Cl acts as a good leaving group between the NH2-GO material synthesized in step (a) and an alkyl chloride. In addition, provided is a method for an oily lubricant, further comprising a step of dispersing, in a concentration of a predetermined wt% in an oil, the alkyl-FGO formed in step (b).
