The present application provides a judicial document searching method and device. The method comprises obtaining existing documents, the existing documents comprising any one of a statement of claim, an answer, a trial transcript, or a ruling document; determining an event collection in the existing documents, the event collection comprising one or more events of the existing documents; and searching for a judicial document corresponding to the event collection. The accuracy of an event meaning is much higher than the accuracy of a keyword, and cases having an identical event are very similar cases. Therefore, the solution of performing event-based searching to obtain a judicial document can improve the accuracy of searching for the judicial document of a similar case.
